Why five things?

I'm big on providing practical advice, like how to reduce stress, be healthier, enjoy life more, or just get the most out of every moment. But I've found if the to-do list of "things to do" gets too long, it's hard to remember. Or it feels too daunting. That just creates another problem.

As I thought about the optimum number of things to think about, changes to make, or simply, reasons why, I wanted it to be enough to make a difference, but not so many that it causes overwhelm. So I picked five. Five things are easy to remember. You can count them on one hand. Five things are doable. And five is one of my lucky numbers.

Thus was born The Five Things Blog, a way for me to share my ideas, experience, wisdom, knowledge, opinions, tips, tricks, suggestions, etcetera in the hope that what I share with you will make a positive difference in your life. Or spark a conversation. Or both.

Enjoy.
